The goal of the conference was to bring together the perspectives of a diverse group of researchers to discuss the issues of quality, professional development, engagement, and outcomes in after-school programs. Over the course of two days, participants presented recent research findings and engaged in discussion of how research can improve the quality of after-school programs and help advance a public policy agenda that supports after-school programming.
